On October 14, the Center for lesbian and Gay Studies presented the panel discussion, Race, Sexuality, and the 1997 New York City Elections. Participants included: (on left) Andrea Bernstein (New York Observer), Paula Ettelbrick (Empire State Pride Agenda and CLAGS Board Co-Chair), and Urvashi Vaid (National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Policy Institute); and (on right) Robert Bailey (Rutgers University) and moderator Kendall Thomas (Columbia University Law School).
