Board Members and Staff Changes

The CLAGS Board bids grateful farewell to several members ending their terms. We thank them for their
enthusiastic contributions and look forward to their continued support as colleagues, friends, and event
participants: Richard Kim, Kim Kristensen, Don Kulick, Yolanda Martínez-San Miguel, Ananya Mukherjea,
Ben Sifuentes-Jáuregui, and Polly Thistlethwaite. And we welcome three new members: Marysol Asencio, Anthony
Escobar, and Daniel Hurewitz.
A special farewell to Megan Jenkins, CLAGS Director of Development who also served as Events and
Outreach Coordinator, and Lynley Wheaton, Project Coordinator. Megan is replaced by Naz who
moved on from the position of Membership and Fellowships Coordinator. Naz’s position is filled by Alyssa Nitchun.
Alyssa holds an MA in Humanities and Social Thought with an emphasis in Gender Politics from NYU. She is a freelance
writer on arts and culture. Eduardo Tirado finished his internship at CLAGS. Nellie Bowles will be joining the
office as our new intern. Nellie is a Columbia University junior from San Francisco studying comparative literature.

Lauren Gutterman replaced Lynley Wheaton as the Project Coordinator of in June. Gutterman
graduated from Northwestern University where she majored in American Studies and Gender Studies. She is
currently a PhD student in NYU’s History department focusing on gender and sexuality in the 20th century US.
