The Office of New York State Senator Tom Duane is seeking to hire a Legislative Aide! Constituent Service person, as well as a liaison to the Chinatown Community. As of January 7, 7999, Duane will represent the 27th State Senate District, which includes Battery Park City, Chinatown, TriBeCa, SoHo, parts of the Lower East Side, Greenwich Village, Chelsea, Clinton/ Hell’s Kitchen, the Flatiron District, Union and Stuyvesant Square, and parts of Kips Bay, Rose Hill, Murray Hill, Midtown Manhattan, and the Upper West Side. Important for the position is an interest in and knowledge of New York City and particularly Chinatown. The position involves working on a variety of policy issues for the office such as environmental issues, preservation, the arts, hate crimes and senior citizens’ issues.
